SCANNER.EXE The Executable Program
SCAN.HLP The Help File
README.1ST This File the one you should read first!
This software is distributed under the user supported software
concept. Though Frequence Database is copyrighted, you are
encouraged to copy and distribute this program to others.
If you like this product and find it useful, a registration fee
of $5.00 to $8.00 is required for continued use. See second screen
in program for more info and a order form. Write for educational
discounts and distributor terms.
The author makes no representations or warranties with respect to
the contents hereof and specifically disclaims any implied
warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular
purpose. Further, the author reserves the right to revise this
publication and to make changes from time to time in the content
hereof without obligation of the author to notify any person or
organization of such revision or changes.
Frequency Database is user supported. This means that you may copy
it freely and give the copies away to anyone you wish (UN-REGISTERED
VERSIONS ONLY). They are in turn requested to send in a contribution
if they decide to use it.
The user supported software concept (also known as "Shareware")
is an attempt to provide quality software at low cost. Both the
user and author benefit from this plan. The user will benefit by
being able to "test drive" software thoroughly before purchasing
it. The author benefits by being able to enter the commercial
software market while avoiding the high cost of commercial
distribution.
This concept helps many independent authors and small companies
that otherwise would be discouraged from developing and promoting
their ideas. It can only work with your support. If you obtain a
user supported program from a friend and are still using it after
a few weeks, then it is obviously worth something to you, and a
contribution should be sent.

Now on with the lighter stuff. The program you received is of the
highest quality and should provide you with a easy way to organize
all those little bits of paper with frequency's on them. That is
how "Frequency Database" got its birth. I want to say right now
thank you to my wife and daughter who put up with not having a
husband and father during the long hours I spent in front of the
computer programming this piece of software and for also knowing
that I could do it.
When you get the program it will be compressed all together if you
have downloaded it you will need to UN-compress it to a sub-directory
or your hard drive that you have created. Or, it will be three
seperate files on one disk ( The file were listed earlier ) and you
will need to copy them there.
Frequency Database requires these things:
1.) IBM Compatible
2.) Hardrive
3.) Dos V 2.0 or greater
4.) Color Monitor (It will run on a LCD or MONO but I have no idea
what it will look like. If the shades are un-desirable we'll
have to fix that.)
5.) You could also put it all on a High Density Floppy but the only
limit to the number of Frequencies that you can put in is amount
of free space on the drive. So as you can see more space more
frequencies.
You will move all the files to the sub-directory you are going to use
or the floppy because when you first execute the program it is going
to create the files it needs to run (datafiles and key files).
That is pretty much it help files are imbedded in the program
throughout. You can access these by just pressing F1. ESC in most
cases gets you out of what you just did that you wished you did'nt.
One last rule HAVE FUN and PLEASE, IF YOU USE IT REGISTER IT.
